Huang Yong Ping, (born February 18, 1954, Xiamen, China—died October 19, 2019, Paris, France), Chinese-born French avant-garde artist, best known for his massive installations that explore East-West perspectives.. Huang began his studies in 1977 at the Zhejiang Academy of Fine Arts (now the China Academy of Art) in Hangzhou, shortly after the end of the Cultural Revolution (1966-76).
